Livingston, MT Trip April 2011

Brady has been working with a dealership in Livingston, MT a lot lately. Since he was working last Saturday, the kids & I decided to take a road trip to Livingston to explore the area. Unbelievable views all around. Deer were in every field on the outskirts of the town site. The heart of Livingston was filled with historical buildings. The city now revolves around hunting, fishing, hiking, and ranching. We decided to drive home through the Gallitin. It is the most scenic route back to Idaho. From Bozeman, it takes you right into the city of West Yellowstone. My goal was to see some big horn sheep. Kaylie spotted the first on in the trees, then we found a bunch of them near the turn to go to Big Sky ski resort. This was the first time I have seen them in the wild. . These are the views from the ONLY LDS Church house in Livingston. The building only has one SMALL ward. Only 6 rows of benches in the Chapel. Kaylie said she felt claustrophobic. Saturday afternoon we went for a drive up the canyon that the Yellowstone River runs through called Paradise Valley. It leads to the north entrance of Yellowstone Park. It was Paradise. There were deer everywhere including in people's yards and on the roadside. Graycie kept saying "I see deers" Check out the gorgeous mountains in the background and click on this picture to see the two deer in the yard. The picture above in the back of the house then we drove around and the picture below in the front of the house. Views and deer from every direction. We let TomTom find us a resturant and he didn't disappoint!! The GPS took us to a yummy mexican resturant in the heart of downtown. After dinner we walked under the underpass in downtown-old town Livingston. Then, we walked around the old train depot. It was chilly so we didn't stay long or take many pictures. A few more scenic pics from the church parking lot. Its up on a hillside on the north side of Livingston. You can see the train depot in the background.

This is at our hotel in Livingston, MT. Graycie just got out of the pool on her own and is appearently a bit cold. Being the good mom that I am, I grabbed the camera first, before I grabbed her a towel. What a HAM!!
