Graycie can be a little demanding in the morning when she is hungry. She wanted pancakes and a sippy cup, right now, right now!! So I sarcastically said, "Ok, you make the bed and I'll go make pancakes." She looked up at me with the most worried look, held her hand out to daddy's side of the bed and said, "But we need another Mom!" I wouldn't mind that either.
Kaylie is going to Vancouver BC with her friend over spring break so we were at the post office getting her passport. I kept promising (bribing) Graycie ice cream is she was well behaved. Finally we finished up and headed for ice cream and got Kaylie back to school. I asked her what she wanted thinking happy meal, french fries, ice cream? and her reply was she wanted Cinderella ice cream. What the heck is Cinderella ice cream. Ugh, the language barrier can be tough when facing a 3 year old. We always go to McDonalds and get her a kiddy cone. After the post office visit I just wanted to get home and decided not to drive to the end of town for McDonalds and chose Dairy Queen instead. We were asked if she wanted chocolate, vanilla or a twist. I ordered a first-time twist for her. Oh, her eyes got so big too see chocolate on one side and vanilla on the other. She ate it in record time. We picked up Kaylie from school and I said, "Graycie, tell Kaylie what you had." Ice cream. What kind of ice cream? Can you tell her it was a twist? It was a twist. Tell Kaylie what is in a twist. Graycie says, "Chocolate and Cinderella ice cream!!" Ahhhh, that is what "Cinderella" ice cream is...VANILLA!!
Graycie comes up with the funniest things and I'm afraid if I don't get them written down I'll forget.
- Brady and Kaylie were sick over the weekend, so the big thing was to not share germs. The drive to and from Idaho was filled with not sharing drinks or you will get sick. Today Graycie had the hiccups and wanted a drink of water. She drank some and the hiccups went away, then she told me not to drink from her cup because the hiccups where in there. She said if I drank the water I would get the hiccups.
- She ran into my room today and asked if she could make a flag. I helped her draw a picture, then left her to finish. She ran back into my room with the paper folded several times and said she wanted to give her "flag" to Benjamin. Finally, I realized she was making a "fan" and she wanted to make more pictures and more flags to give to everyone. She wanted me to help her make planets on her next picture. I drew the sun followed by planets including Saturn with it's rings. She looked at it and said she wanted some "mediums" drawn too. What she really wanted was ""meteors!" Smart little stink!
- "Hey, the trees don't have leaves. We'll have to go buy some." Me: "We do?" "Yah, we're missing some leaves!"
- I noticed a scratch on Graycie's cheek and asked her what happened. She told me she scraped in on a tree. I asked what tree and she said, "a pineapple tree!" I'm thinking she meant a pine tree.
