Family Update

Since this seems to be one of the best ways for family & friends to stay connected I figured I should update everyone on the current happenings of each of our children.

Darrin just finished up spud harvest. He will be attending BYU-I in January. He has been hunting and fishing like crazy this fall. He shot his first bull elk with his bow this year. He sent me a picture from his cell phone of a two point buck rubbing up against the tree just below his tree stand. He didn't shoot it because he's waiting for something bigger. He loves the outdoors so much, he would really like to become a fish & game officer. He once told me that he wished he lived in the days of the mountainmen because that is how he would love to live. I just hope he meets a girl who loves to go camping as much as he does!!
Derek has had an adventurous summer. He worked with a hardwood flooring company all summer. He was out of town on jobs most the summer. He was sent to Iowa, Colorado, & California this summer. I think he liked visiting the beaches of southern California the best. He is now working as a transportation assistant for Bonneville School Distric 93 and volunteers at the haunted house in Shelley. He will be attending college in the near future. He loves cars & music and is a great big brother to his lil sisters, plus a great role model for Rayce.

Rayce lives in Twin Falls during the school year and is at our house every other weekend. We sure wish he lived closer so we could spend more time with him. During the summer he'll be spending a lot more time here. We all love to go camping & fishing all summer long. Rayce especially likes anything with wheels; motorcycles, bikes, skate boards, rip sticks, etc. and the more dangerous the better. Dad's cool with it but it scares Mom to death.

Kaylie is now in the fourth grade and absolutely loves Idaho History. She is still attending Iona Elementary. Last year was her first year there and in the beginning a boy challenged "the new girl" to a race. When she left him in her dust and won the race the boy offered to become her "manager" and line up races for her. Needless to say, the boy that ever catches her heart better be a fast runner. She is very athletic and is now taking dance lessons. Mom thinks her greatest talent is singing. She sings everywhere she goes and always in the shower. Her only problem is that she is very shy when it comes to singing when people want her too. I sure hope she grows out of it so she can share her talent with others. She's momma lil clone with her big brown eyes, brown hair and spunky little personality.

Bringing up the rear is our little baby Graycie. She is growing so fast, due to the fact that she is such a good little eater. Her favorite activities are burping, pooping, spitting up once in a while, and she cries, but not a whole lot. This past week she has just begun to smile. I mean on purpose, not just because of a gas bubble. Darrin once asked, "Mom, when will Kaylie do something like walk or talk?" Well look at little miss Kaylie now and I know Graycie will grow up quick just like her big sister. We are so thankful this sweet little angel has come down to this earth and joined our little family. We love our sweet baby Graycie!!!

New Addition to Our Family!

Not our long, long, long awaited addition, (two more weeks) but we did get a new addition to our family! This is Darrin's birthday present (21st birthday-Aug. 28th). She's a 5 1/2 week old German Shorthair Pointer. Cute little stink don't ya think? HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAR! We love you!Brady just gave the lil one her first bath! Wasn't her most favorite thing to do!Kaylie is the best puppy babysitter ever!! As you can see, its a tuff job!

Timbercreek Camping Trip

Playing the Palmer way!! With such a cold spring we didn't get a lot of camping in this year, especially since we don't think Mom would be graceful enough to crawl in and out of a tent four times a night; Not to mention she has a hard time crawling out of her bed at home; we think getting out of a sleeping bag would have been impossible. So, for the first time ever, we had to go camping without her. We're all looking forward to next year when Baby and Mom will be with us!!Rayce, Catlin, Brady & Kaylie going on a hike near the campground!
You kiss it...NO you kiss it!! Kaylie & Rayce made a friend! They would put it on their shoulders or head and the frog would just sit there and ride along with them as they swam along.
Here's Kaylie & Rayce swimming (bathing) at Barney Hot Springs. The water didn't feel too hot, just luke warm, but they had a blast!!
Look at those two big fish!!
Braylin's first camping trip!! Ahhh he's a natural!
Here's Rayce & Kaylie fishing!Dinner!!Catlin might be going hungry!

We got up in the hills late and set up the tent in the dark!

Three's a Charm

Grandma needs to make room for one more as she is holding Ben & Matthew. Graycie Brielle Palmer is our latest name choice, but we're not 100% sure just yet. Only four more weeks to decide. We wanted to take pictures of all three babies. Our's just happens to be in the womb still. We'll update the picture as soon as our little one arrives!!

Darrin holding Matthew. Matthew did such a good job getting his big cousin asleep!

Little Ben & Matthew just a waiting for their little girl cousin to arrive!
