We finally gave in and cut Graycie's hair. She had long brown hair but only on the top of her head so it was time. The part I didn't realize is how blonde her hair was underneath her long brown locks. Now she looks even more like her Daddy and he reminds me of that daily. But that's okay cuz she is Daddy's Baby Girl!!

Spring Fever

Graycie is sitting up!! She just started around her 6 month birthday. Her chubby lil legs keep her balanced very well, but Cousin Ben kept knocking her over, but he just wanted to play 'n momma was there to catch her!

This weekend Graycie and Momma went to Aunt Michelle's house while Daddy, Rayce & Kaylie went swimming at Heise Hot Springs. Ben's Grandma Lynne was there visiting and she bought Graycie the cutest pair of summer shorts that came with these bunny ears headband. It was so adorable on her and Ben couldn't wait to play with it (while it was still on her head of course). The saying on the botton, "Thanks Easter Bunny, Bawk, Bawk" was a commercial for Cadbury Eggs when I was younger. I taught Steven & Michelle to say it. One would say, "Thanks Easter Bunny" and the other would follow by saying "Bawk, Bawk." Then they would switch who would go first. This provided hours of entertainment, so I would like to say, Thanks Easta Bunny, Bawk Bawk!"

We are so ready for spring. I just can't wait to get Graycie outside and let her smell the fresh air and hear the birds sing. To feel the warmth of the sunshine on her face.

Lovin' the H2O

The bigger kids go patiently every week and watch little Graycie during her swimming lessons, unable to swim during lessons, so we decided to take them swimming after Graycie's swimming lessons, but we debated because the water at the Aquatic Center was so so cold, Brady took Graycie out early and warmed her little body in the hot tub until the purple left her lips. We didn't think the 9 year olds would enjoy that too much. I suggested going to Heise Hot Springs where they have a great outdoor pool that is nicely heated plus a hot, hot tub right next to it. Daddy packed up the kids while Graycie & I went to Michelle's to help her on her Blurb book. The kids (and Daddy) loved the heated pools and thought it was cool being able to swim outside in the winter time. The only downside was the cost of admission. It was $9 for adults and $5 for 11 and under but all-in-all it was worth it. I'll be working on their swimming pages and keep adding them to this post so keep checking back!!

My how time flies!!

Daddy took Graycie in town today to get her 6 month old pictures. Now normally this is a "Mom" thing to do but I let myself get so worked up wanting everything to be just perfect and Brady has been off work all week so I asked him to. She's been smiling so much lately that I was hoping he could get some smiles out of her. When I took her at 3 months, I absolutely made a fool out of myself, drenched in sweat and only achieved 1/2 a smile. I taunted Brady telling him she wouldn't give up a smile for the camera. WELL...as you can see he won and I couldn't be any happier. Her pictures turned out so adorable and I give all the credit to Daddy. He bathed her, picked out her out-fits and even styled her hair. On the phone I suggested clips for her hair, but he didn't put them in, but that's alright cuz I can just photoshop some in if I wanna!! Love you Daddy & Graycie. You both did a fabulous job!!!
Graycie just finished her third week of swimming lessons. I say "lessons" very loosely because there hasn't been anything taught. The instructor sits on the edge of the pool and watches the parents play with the babies. Thank goodness Graycie has her own professional swim coach, her DADDY! He's the greatest and he does so well with her. She's not scared of the water anymore and is so, so close to being able to float. This will be so good for her to learn to swim because we live next to a large canal, have a huge swimming pool set up in the summer, and we love to go camping and fishing in the summer, which puts us near water all the time. I especially love this picture of her looking up at her Daddy. It truly is a conversation overheard, knowing that she's making sure her dad is still there. Her Daddy is the best and I know if she could have been able to stand this winter he would have had her on skis too!!! We love our Daddy!!
This is the greatest invention since disposable diapers. It's called a bumbo and allows babies to sit up on their own. Its soft like foam and light weight. Her very, very, very most favorite thing is to sit in front of our closet door which is mirrored and play with her reflection. She'll coo and play with the little baby in the mirror the entire time I'm getting ready in the morning. Well, as long as she has Momma in her sights.

Kaylie's kindergarten homework-2005!

I was looking through some old pictures last night and came across this homework assignment of Kaylie's that she did in Kindergarten. A great tip...scan your child's homework assignments that you would normally keep. Cuts down on the clutter and storage!!! Anyway look closely at this assignment. I think she got in a hurry wanting to get it done fast and didn't realize she was suppose to use the word bank at the bottom of the page to fill in the blanks!!! Number 3 is my very favorite! That's my girl, calling it like she sees it!!! (In case you need a little help (Brady) the answer was supposed to be "hip!")
