Silly Sayings from Miss Graycie
Out of the mouth of babes...When Kaylie was younger there were a lot of cute things she did and said that I would write down and scrapbook to preserve the memories. Since I haven't had time to scrap, I need to blog the cute things that Graycie comes up with. It's so often that we forget.
Brady loves astronomy. He has had his telescope out on several occations and lets Graycie and the other kids look at the moon and planets. We often have Graycie draw different shapes on paper or we'll draw them and ask her what it is. After drawing a circle I asked her what shape it was and she replied, "It's a planet!" Ever since that time our shape drawing has included circles and planets.
While Brady was in Montana last week Graycie came to me with pencil and paper in hand. She asked me to draw a planet. Being the most recognisable of all planets, I drew a circle and a ring going around it. She looks at it with furrowed eye brows and said, "NO, Jupiler!" Apparently she's a big fan of Jupiter! I was thinking maybe Brady taught her about the planets, but Kaylie thinks she learned in from one of her favorite Nick Jr. shows, Bubble Guppies.
Finally, we live in a split-entry home with an entryway near the front door. The room is big enough to hold a nice floor lamp and a large coat rack with a nice bench and mirror attached. Graycie likes to throw her bouncy balls down the stairs and watch them bouncy into the entryway. She was content and somewhat quiet for a minute then I hear her holler, "Mom,I is doing it!" Not having a clue what she was doing I ran down the stairs and again she said, "Mom, I is doing it!" I replied, "Doing what?" She turned and ran to the mirror and began sticking out her tongue and slightly curling it. She's seen me and Kaylie doing that and she was so proud that she could do it too, (well sort of curling it) but we celebrated all the same!! I've looked up childrens' stages of development, but I can't find tongue curling anywhere, so I'm assuming she's very advanced and off the charts! Oh how we love this baby girl!

Livingston, MT Trip April 2011
Brady has been working with a dealership in Livingston, MT a lot lately. Since he was working last Saturday, the kids & I decided to take a road trip to Livingston to explore the area. Unbelievable views all around. Deer were in every field on the outskirts of the town site. The heart of Livingston was filled with historical buildings. The city now revolves around hunting, fishing, hiking, and ranching.
We decided to drive home through the Gallitin. It is the most scenic route back to Idaho. From Bozeman, it takes you right into the city of West Yellowstone. My goal was to see some big horn sheep. Kaylie spotted the first on in the trees, then we found a bunch of them near the turn to go to Big Sky ski resort. This was the first time I have seen them in the wild.
.
These are the views from the ONLY LDS Church house in Livingston. The building only has one SMALL ward. Only 6 rows of benches in the Chapel. Kaylie said she felt claustrophobic.

Saturday afternoon we went for a drive up the canyon that the Yellowstone River runs through called Paradise Valley. It leads to the north entrance of Yellowstone Park. It was Paradise. There were deer everywhere including in people's yards and on the roadside. Graycie kept saying "I see deers"
Check out the gorgeous mountains in the background and click on this picture to see the two deer in the yard. The picture above in the back of the house then we drove around and the picture below in the front of the house. Views and deer from every direction.
We let TomTom find us a resturant and he didn't disappoint!! The GPS took us to a yummy mexican resturant in the heart of downtown. After dinner we walked under the underpass in downtown-old town Livingston. Then, we walked around the old train depot. It was chilly so we didn't stay long or take many pictures.
A few more scenic pics from the church parking lot. Its up on a hillside on the north side of Livingston. You can see the train depot in the background.
Graycie B
This is at our hotel in Livingston, MT. Graycie just got out of the pool on her own and is appearently a bit cold. Being the good mom that I am, I grabbed the camera first, before I grabbed her a towel. What a HAM!!

March Happenings
We have had a quiet winter. Not much out of the ordinary, but this Saturday, March 26, I tripled up on the commitments. I had to choose between 3 family functions and feel horrible about missing out on two very important things, but I chose the event closest related to our family. We were invited to my sister-in-law's baby shower. Brady's sister Micah is pregnant with her 3rd baby. Not your average precnancy. This sweet baby will join her 11 year old sister and 14
year old brother. Oh this little girl will be so loved and spoiled. Next, we were also invited to my great-niece's baptism. Madeline Scoggins was baptised on Saturday, too. Finally, closest to my heart, Laura Ann Bradbury is engaged to my son Darrin and the Palmer Chicks were invided to attend her bridal shower in West Valley, UT. It was a great oppertunity to meet her family and get to know what makes Laura, Laura. It was so much fun and I absolutely love, love, love her family. Now I know what makes her so sweet, kind and loving. I pricelined a room online and by chance we got a room at the Staybridge Suites hotel which has an indoor water park. The girls had a blast! Especially lil Graycie. It took her a day to get used to the water raining down on her, but once past her fear there was no slowing her down!! She was so stinking cute playing in the pool.
